Today marks three wonderful, trouble free years since my take down surgery!
I am so thankful each and every day for the answered prayers I received, and for my surgeon Dr. Paul Vignati. I am also thankful I have access to the best health care in the world, and for the wonderful people here on this website. The kindness, compassion and knowledge shared here is truly special and unique.
Maybe my success with the j-pouch surgeries can help others who may be contemplating surgery or offer hope to someone experiencing a difficult recovery. Smiler

Monique. It can't be three years already. It seems like last week I met you for the first time. So glad you are doing so well. You are a inspiration for all newcomers.

Ahhh, thank you Judy! Both Jeff and I hope all is well with you too.
I hope you know how much we will always appreciate, the kindness and calming reassurances you provided to us during our chats. Smiler

It is so nice to hear happy endings...my husband is contemplating the surgery...we are both so nervous...don't want to have unrealistic expectations, but I can't imagine that just about anything could be worse than how he is living now, so many medication side-effects and still living from toilet to toilet.

Monique!! I hardly ever pop onto this website anymore, so I am just now reading your post! Congratulations on the 3 year mark! It does not seem possible that it was 3 yrs ago.... I'm so glad to read that you are doing as well as I had hoped for you! Take care and continued good wishes for you and the family!

You have to get thru the clouds to enjoy the sunshine Smiler

Hi Michele!!
I too am not on here as much as I should be. How different things might be for me, if you were not on here helping me three years ago?
Thanks for sharing my happiness of enjoying great health since my surgeries. Please know you will always be one of those "special" people, I have had the pleasure of knowing in my life.
I hope you are doing fantastic, and wish you and your family nothing but the very best!
Monique
