Hey, everyone Smiler! Just wanted to say my TD of my PT is scheduled tomorrow and creation of perm end ileo! I would have posted earlier, but my internet was shut down for a week, and I just got so busy with other things. Roll Eyes

Anyway, yes, tomorrow at 10:30 tomorrow and it was completely my choice. I decided I wanted to live my life, and not revolve it around leaks, accidennets, butt burn, depends at night, and all the other inconviences that go along with the PT.

Oh, I simply love my new surgeon (not the same one who gave me this awful PT, that was at a different hospital before I moved)! He is sooo nice and joke around with him a lot (at the appropriate times, of course) and laugh. It's always good to have a surgeon with a sense of humor, right? Wink

He also scheduled me to see a stoma therapist the same day of my operation to discuss the best place for my stoma, what supplies I will use, products, tips/tricks, ect ect. I'm sure I've already learned most of them from you guys though. Big Grin

I would just love to thank everyone on here for being such a big help to me. We are all family; we share each others love and support. I love you guys! Smiler <3

xo♥,
Win

Hey everyone thanks for your support.

im actually in the hospital right now typing on a laptop they temorarily gave me for my stay here. I'm not exactlly myself as you can tell with my lack of punctiuation and such.

these last 2 days have been really hard.
first day out of surgery i came out feeling pretty good (as well as i could for comming out of surgery) but a few hours later, major pain started to kick in.

i have this cathiter thing in my back that shoots out medicie every so often and i can actually push a utton for an exra boost if i need it. it was not really working that night; i was up practically all night crying my own pain as i begged the nurses to get me some other pain killer, that actuaslly 2worekd.

i wwas a tad idisipointed to see the larger sizeof my stoma tan i anticipated; its 2 inches from left to right and sticks ot maybe half an inch. it jst weird cause i never has a large stoma like thisa. the doctors and nurses told me it will shrink proably by half a inch; i hope so. do u gys tik my stoma is too large?

but that was not so much of a prolem as it was last night- when i woke up in the morning, i had horrile pains. everywhere. my thighs were numb, my neck was on fire, i was sure my stomac was about to burst open from the throbing, and gas pains stabbed at my stonach, stoma, and bottom like a cold knife. pain nurses came to the room several times, once rearranging te cathitar attatced to my back. it helped just a little.

later, the pain was back and in full fortce. my mom had to step out to get my sister from school so it was just mmy grandma and i in the tin hospital. i could have have screamed with pain for hours untik the stupid nurse finally came into te room after the 5th time of pushing the nurse button.

i cried to the nurse, i cant TAKE it anymore. what cant you take annore, she asked stupidly. the pain. i need to feel better right or else i want to die. you wont die. she ignored the reast of m sobing as she laced this new painkiller into my IV.

i fell asleep.
and woke p feeling much better. it was a miracle! Thank you, Jesus!!

im too tred to type Anymore... im in some pain now, but nothing compared to before. just thougt id kee you guys updated... keep me in your prayers.Smiler

Hi Winnie,
I really hope the new pain medicine works!!! I had a catheder in my back as well and when it ran out it took them forever to change it and I was in a lot of pain until they did.
Hope you can get up and start walking soon too that should help you start moving things and get rid of that painful gas.
Your stoma will definitely shrink, after about 4 to 6 weeks it should be done shrinking.

You'll be in my thoughts.
Take care
Scott

Winnie, I'm so sorry you're in so much pain. I hope by now they have it under control for you. Maybe they need to take out the epidural and just give you a PCA with pain meds. I had the epidural and it worked fine for me, but it doesn't work for everyone.

I had a temporary stoma for 8 months, and it definitely shrunk alot from when I first had surgery, so don't worry about that, it will get smaller.

I hope things start turing around soon, and you're up and about. Once you're able to get up and walk a little, the gas will start moving and you should start feeling better.

You're in my prayers Winnie, I hope you feel better soon,

janna

Awww Winnie! I am so sorry you are feeling so horrible. I went through the same thing after my first operation and alittle after my second one as well. The epidural didnt work and I was in insane agony for hours until they finally got the pain under control. I am glad to hear they did for you as well. I hope that you are beginning to see the sun through the clouds. Just remember that it will get better and 2 months from now you will feel AMAZING! Hang in there girl Smiler
