Hurray! I tried some corn (in a shepherds pie) and some oats (in cookies) yesterday, and I chewed like mad (they took forever to eat!) and I am fine, no problems at all (except I didn't sleep well because of too much sugar before bed...). Slowly I am trying more and "riskier" things and so far so good!! Granted, I'm still with my temporary ostomy, so things may change with the JPouch (scheduled for June 17). It's just so good to eat things besides mashed potatoes and farina!

Yeah!!! When I had my ostomy I ate everything I could get my hands on, the best thing was grapefruit. I wish I would have eaten more cause now I can't eat citrus. So enjoy.
