Not sure I'll have the chance to post this at the actual dates, so here's my anniversary rave...

This year on April 15 it will be 10 years since my j-pouch surgery (unbelieveable!) and April 17th will be 5 years since the pouch came out (even more unbelieveable!). My husband asked me which surgery was more memorable or impactful for me and I had to think about it a bit...in the end I think the pouch removal has had more impact because it is what gave me my life back. He feels more from the first because it was the beginning of a very long road for us.

Anyway, couldn't be happier with how things are today, for all the trials and tribulations along the way. I'll be celebrating the anniversary with a nice dinner out with my wonderful hubby (that I really can't eat because of pregnancy indigestion Smiler) and with some great big hugs from my 2 year old.

Happy Early Anniversary.

I bet April 15th being your anniversary makes taxes not seem like such a big deal. Wink

Hi Jill, Congratulations! Big Grin

Has it really been that long? Well I suppose it must be because I had my j-pouch operation 12 years ago and my pouch removal 4 years ago!. Where has the time gone?

I hope you enjoy your celebration meal out and fingers crossed that you don't suffer too much heartburn.

Luv & hugs to my favourite cyber family. Smiler

Cool Shell Cool

One glass of red wine per day is good for the heart..... it's just that mine's a big heart so I need a very big glass!!!! D-| Cheers! Wink

Congratulations!

I am 9 months out from a Jpouch removal.
It is great (& inspiring) to see people so happy years down the road.

Thanks for sharing

Thanks everyone! Had baked stuffed lobster with scallops and shrimp and french fries for dinner. Couldn't even eat half of it due to baby (and it WAS a 2 lb lobster!), but sure enjoyed what I did eat. Chocolate decadence chocolate mousse cake for dessert. Yum, yum, yum.

Hugs right back to you and Frank, Shell! I'm waiting till we get a good ultrasound pic of baby to post a new photo of Alex too...hopefully at the end of the month.
