Yippee!! It's only taken me....years but anyway Wink I've been so busy the past few weeks that I haven't had any time to make my DIY metamucil wafers so in desperation I started taking loperamide which never usually helps. Instead of taking 2 at a time, which blocked me up and made me bleed before, I started taking one before going to bed and one when I get up. BINGO! It works (at least so far). I am one happy camper.

That's brilliant new Soph! Smiler

Glad you've found that happy medium. They may not be quite as delicious as your home made metamucil cookies but think how many calories it will save you! Wink

We really must catch up in chat soon. I can actually log on now that Frank's finally figured out what was wrong! Smiler

Take care. Smiler

Soph, if you had problems with the blocking, I would really suggest trying the chewables or liquids. I swore off imodium because it sent me to the ER with a blockage, but after much coaxing from my doctor, I tried the liquid form so I could truly find my perfect dose, and it worked great. But then again, seems like you've figured it out Smiler

Hi Chelsea,
I don't know if the other versions are available here actually! But it's worth knowing - if I see any, I'll grab them! Smiler

Soph, that is the same dosage and timing I take. It seems to help a lot.

Hi Soph,

You could ask your pharmacy if they do liquid Loperamide. It's the generic for Imodium. However, if it ain't broke then don't fix it I suppose! Wink

Hope to catch you in chat soon to hear all about Cleo. Smiler

Yes, I'll ask. The DIY metamucils do a better job of "cleaning" the plumbing, but this dosage certainly has quietened my guts down. I'm very chuffed!
I hope to get on chat some day when I have time again Smiler. Nice to really "talk" there Smiler
