anyone use them??? I loved my surgeon Ramamorthy but having the WORST TIME with the gastro team, only two doctors one in hillcrest and the other in La jolla, neither one of them seem to know a lot about Jpouches or complete colectomy take downs when "it doesnt go right" !!! I feel like I am just another of the hundred they see in fact last week he was asking me some of the most obvious dumbest qustions like have we tried you on antibiotics? UM YEAH 6 months of it! What about ENEMAS? YES!!! Do they even take to time to realize we are PEOPLE NOT A GUINIE PIG OR JUST A NUMBER ON THE DAMN FILE!!! UHHHHHH SO FRUSTRATING and MediCal has me limited to only UCSD and maybe UCLA- which I am looking into but its SOOO far away for me! Frowner

i'm not from san diego, but i have the same problems with my GI here in norcal. i always get asked the same, dumb questions that i feel like he should know or have some clue about. the one that kills me that my GI always asks me is "how is the colon doing?" I sit there dumbfounded. i want to tell him, "i don't know! it's sitting in some jar on some internn'sdesk somewhere. stop asking." but i hold my tongue and just smile and nod.

There is a Dr that practices a little north of S.D. and I believe his name is Launer. I guess he is in Mission Viejo(sp?). He trained with the big boys at Cleveland Clinic snd apparently is a good surgeon(colo/rectal).
It's strange that we don't get too many people out of the San Diego area with pouches...
My sister lives in Pacific Beach...

I only see my surgeon for follow up concerns. It's been over 5 years and I guess I saw my GI doc at first but then decided my surgeon knew more about J-pouches.
