Well, today I had to go in for a pouch scope and dialation to check up on things after a bleeding episode I had two months ago. I was a little hesitant to do this, since everythings been feeling pretty good lately and I didnt want to tempt fate with another procedure.
I get in to the outpatient this AM for what Im told is going to take about an hour to do. Next thing I know, Im awake and its still pretty early! I thought that they were going to have to take a biopsy, dialate, poke and prod, etc;...but when I spoke with my surgeon afterwards, he said he was only in there about 5 minutes because there was absolutely nothing he needed to do! Pouch formation looked great, no areas needed to be biopsied, and my dialation was fine as well! I was a little worried about this after the issue I had two months ago. I thought for sure they were going to find ulcers, irritation, etc all over the place in there. So far so good though (knock on wood)...I hope everyone else is doing good today too! Well, that's good news indeed! Now, perhaps you will be less hesitant on your next check up.
Jan Take a deep breath and relax; this too will pass. |
