I just received a postcard about a documentary about 3 adults living with chronic diseases.

I think I was put on a mailing list when I signed up on www.livingwithuc.com

If anyone is interested in checking it out or seeing it, it is playing in many cities, you just have to register...

INNERSTATE

Take care!

Unfortunately, it appears to have a pretty small distribution and is limited to large cities. Maybe it will be released to DVD after its run...

Take a deep breath and relax; this too will pass.

Oh thanks for mentioning that!
When I submitted my info it said something about receiving a copy of the DVD for free.
Maybe that is an option for those who aren't able to see it.

This film was funded by Centocor, and is a soft-pitch for the use of Remicade in the treatment of Crohn's and Psoriasis. The word Remicade is never used, but it clearly documents patients going to get the infusions. The fact that Centocor funded the documentary isn't disclosed until they very end of the film (credits).

I understand where you are coming from.
I knew there was a pharamaceutical company sponsoring it but I just think any awareness about illnesses is worth it.
I am not sure I am going to go see it (just because it's during finals) but I will watch the DVD.

I just think people should be aware of it from the start of the movie. Also the circumstances of the appearance of this movie should not be overlooked. Cenotcor is under federal investigation for a unique pricing structure that allowed some doctors to benefit financially from prescribing Remicade. The investigation is looking at whether patients were overcharged for Remicade.

So now, Centocor is facing an investigation over the over-charging of patients, money improperly paid to doctors, and at the same time Humira was approved for Crohn's and arthritis (two of the conditions documented in the film). So it's in that context that Centocor has decided to fund a film.
