So I jumped out of a perfectly good airplane over the weekend. And I admit I was more nervous about losing my bowels than I was about actually jumping out of the plane.

My BM's were all liquid last week and I didn't know how my body would handle the rush and excitement. Well I'm here to tell you that it was fine. I think everything tightens up so much there's no way anything will leak out! Eeker

It was amazing! I can't wait to do it again. Living life to the fullest with a J-Pouch!

Olive, you rock! I plan to do a my first dive once everything has settled down after take-down...I was going to ask the board at some point in the future if anyone else had done it and had any problems and you just answered it for me.

Congratulations.

Dan

Is that a photo of the very same person who was concerned about flying to Ethiopia to pick up a new baby? I don't think you need to worry about that upcoming trip!!!

Oh, and BTW - you're crazy!

Yes! And I'm still more worried about traveling to Ethiopia and getting sick over there than I ever was about jumping out of plane!

Dan, I hope you heal quickly and can enjoy it as much as I did. BTW, I love your blog; you write so well and capture so much of what we deal with going through all of this.

Good news I guess! Still, for the life of me, I cannot understand someone actually paying money to fall out of an airplane. I'd rather spend my money on a gourmet meal in an oceanfront restaurant. I guess, I am not an adrenaline junkie...

Take a deep breath and relax; this too will pass.

So... I guess that's one of the plusses of not being able to get life insurance due to UC: you can jump out of an airplane and not worry about dying and losing the policy Smiler

Seriously, life insurance is why you probably won't catch me doing a jump. Maybe tandem jumping would be okay...

Olive, you're an inspiration to me and I'm sure to a lot of other people over here! I've wanted to do this for a very long time. My sister has been begging me to go with her and I've wanted to go, but I didn't want to stress my pouch. Congratulations that's truly amazing!!

I went two months ago with my brother and a few friends the day before my brother got married as a part of his bachelor party. Super fun! I want to do it again with a larger group.

Olive Oil, did you fly out of Cullman (Vinemont)?

Yup! Sure did; Jason aka "Higgy" was my flight instructor. He was great; I asked him if we could do some flips on our way out of the plane and even though it was my first jump he did Smiler
Who knew Cullman Alabama would be a hot spot for sky diving?!
Glad you enjoyed it; I can't wait to go again.
