So I am about 2 weeks post-op off takedown and I am starting to experience nausea and lightheadedness. I eat like toast and pb. for breakfast and crackers and cheese for snacks and quacker snacks during the day. I swear I eat all day long. Do you have any advise? Thanks so much. Angela

Hi Angela,

Are you drinking enough? The symptoms you describe indicate dehydration to me. You need to get some more fluids and salts in you. Bananas are a great source of potassium as well as being great for thickening and slowing down output. Orange juice is also good but it may be too early for you to tolerate it just yet. Eat plenty of salty snacks to help you retain your fluid levels and if that doesn't help then start on a rehydration solution such as Gookinaid (think you ahve to order on-line) or see if you can get a low sugar version of Gatoraid.

If you can't get on top of this or are really worried then I'd give your doctor a call. Better to be safe than sorry. Wink

Hope you feel better soon.

Cool Shell Cool

One glass of red wine per day is good for the heart..... it's just that mine's a big heart so I need a very big glass!!!! D-| Cheers! Wink

i,m about 2 and 1/2 weeks post op after take down and I get same problems you are having.

I try and drink more and eat more solids foods like chicken if that doesn,t go well then I go with chicken noodle soup and this seems to help.

Good luck

P.S drink , drink , drink
