So today I took in the book I created for my class. People said it looked "professional".
I used a lot of tissue paper and newspaper for texture. It was my personal joke because I think I've killed many a tree with all my tp use. And got a lot of reading done with UC.
I used a lot of sayings and images including photoshops of my scars, etc. I ended it with the words Paying It Forward.

I felt so happy to bring some awareness. Everyone kept asking, so you can live without a colon? And one girl told me she had been avoiding getting a colonoscopy but she took it as a sign. So that made it worth it.

P.S. Thanks for the input regarding images!

Hey Kar,

Glad things went so well for your presentation! It's wonderful that you were able to bring awareness and knowledge about UC and j-pouches as it is something that most people don't want to talk about.

congrats!

Was this UC book presentation to your students/children?

CCFA produces a comic book for children talking about IBD - Even though I am an adult, I found this interesting to read - as I was diagnosed with colitis when I was 10 years old.

It was for my peers.

When I get the book back and figure out how to scan it- it's a 12x12 book; I will link it.

Thanks for the link to the comic book. That's something I never saw before. I just ordered 2.
