Sometimes I have a little dent from where my ostomy was. Yesterday it seemed deeper than normal and as I was showering a little water must have puddled in it.
As I stepped out I felt a stream down my abdomen. I braced like I did when I was having an ostomy leak. Then I remembered, oh yeah...

Sometimes I even get phantom feelings, I'm guess it's a healing process.

Still feels a little strange...

I had phantom leaks too Big Grin. It's 4 months since takedown now and I haven't had any for ages, but my stoma spot still hurts at times. It's tender, but I know a stitch is still there (it's visible) so that's probably the cause. My stoma scar is very deep and ugly, and the skin is still red around it. I'm just hoping it'll fade. A friend of mine told me her stoma spot tingled and had phantom stinging sensations for a whole year after TD Eeker

I would put my hand on my stomach where my bag used to be for at least a year after take down, just habbit from checking if it needed to be emptied. Even now I'll sometimes dream that I have it and wake up with my hand there, checking it. I haven't had it for 8 years and every now and then I still feel like it's there.
Kar, I have the deep indention too and it's always to fun to gather water there when I'm taking a bath Smiler
How do you feel about that scar? I don't mind my other long one down the middle but this one really horrifies people.

I sometimes get freaked out when I spill something warm on my stomach, and I'm like "OH NO A LEAK! ...oh, wait, no, I spilled coffee..."

My ostomy scar is a piece of artwork though. I fell asleep on a heating pad a while ago, and got really burned. So theres a circular scar in the middle of it. I think it kind of looks like a sunrise because of all the little stitch marks radiating from it Smiler

I have actually grown to like my scars. I don't have the one down the middle but I have 4 lapro holes, a 5inch bikini cut and the ostomy.

I show it off in my myspace. Scar pics:
