Annnnddddd, drumroll,
I won a certificate because I got the highest anatomy average! My principle called me a while ago to congradulate me and she was like "I wanted to say excellent job on your grades....ahh, despite your 60 absences for the year." Razzer

I'm applying for pre-med colleges. Seriously! I can't wait to be a senior! Big Grin

Wow, I am impressed!!! Most kids can't hold it together with the type of distractions you have going on, but you are wise beyond your years. You will make an excellent doctor because not only are you intelligent, you will have empathy because you know what it is like on the other end of the stethoscope.

Bravo!

Take a deep breath and relax; this too will pass.

Actually Eric, I am planning on gastro Big Grin I always used to wonder, now how the hell does one go about deciding to be a colo-recal surgeron? Now I know. My life long dream has always been to do surgery- from the second I had my surgery, I knew. I have always been so fascinated with the human body, and its beyond my wildest dreams that I could change someones life. Mark my words, I'm going to find a cure for UC. I already have a theory on curing it. It has to do with a lymphocyte that lies dormant in our bodies now that certain diseases have been eradicated, and since it has no purpose, it finds other things to attack. Theres one doctor in Boston thats toying with the idea, I don't know if anyone has heard about it. He apparently had an autoimmune disease and then infected himself with worms and was cured. I haven't been able to find the article or research much more on it, so I don't know how true it is.

Good for you for finding the cure. I do believe you'll do it too.

With all that you've gone through and are going through - those are amazing grades. Aren't teenagers supposed to be interested in boys and shopping? You somehow got that all straightened out. What's amazing is that you've figured out how to do this all by yourself. You're emancipated, right? So you don't even live at home with nagging parents (said by a nagging parent.... Wink )

Again - I am very, very impressed!

Chelsea, you are awesome!! I had marks like that in high school but you are light years ahead of where I was because I didn't know what I wanted to do and you do.

Hold onto that passion and hold onto your goals and we'll be calling you Dr. Chelsea in no time!

Fantastic Chelsea! I'm very impressed indeed. You have the perfect background for gastro medicine. One of our GI docs at my hospital has Crohns, and we really appreciate the fact that he knows what we're going through. You'll definitely have that added edge.

Well done Chelsea! Big Grin

Good for you getting such brilliantly high grades under such difficult circumstances! You'll make a great GI doctor with all your personal knowledge of just about every bowl complication there is to know about. Wink

Good luck with your chosen path in life, not that I think you'll need it as you'r smart enough to do whatever you want. Smiler

Chelsea,
Congratulations! GREAT JOB! I have read your posts, and you have had many obstacles to overcome and came out shining once again. Good for you! I agree, you will make a great doctor! You will have a super bedside manner!

I read some years ago about the doctor and the worms and tried to contact him. You seem to have the determination to make things happen!

Big Grin Have a great summer

Great job! I'm so glad to see that you are pursuing a medical career. You will make a great contribution to the profession. I bet someday we will see you on the cover of a magazine as the top surgeon of the year or as the person that found a cure for many diseases.

Keep up the good work. Big Grin
