Chelsea,
Perhaps the best way to think of it is not that you are a smoker again, but a former smoker with a temporary relapse! One day at a time. The thing is that just because you gave in to your stress and had a weak moment, it does not mean all is lost. Hopefully, this will be a short relapse and you can get back on the no-smoking wagon! It's OK and you'll get there when you can. Sorry about your mom and her problems. Jan Take a deep breath and relax; this too will pass. |

I'm with you, too, Chelsea. There will be a time when it will be right to try again, and you will. And your j-pouch buddies will be right here pulling for you.

Chelsea,
You didn't smoke for 6 days! That's great! Next time, see if you can stretch it to 10 days...if you can keep going, do. If not, try for 14 days next time. You WILL make it in the end! So sorry about all the extra hassles. Calculate what money you didn't smoke in those six days and get yourself something. Here, smoking is so heavily taxed that you can buy a decent dinner out for the same amount. I don't know what 6 days' worth will get you in the US, but even if it's just a bunch of flowers, reward yourself for what you achieved. Better luck next time "Today I'm 51 % sweetheart and 49 % dragon*. So don't push it. (*Percentages subject to change without notice.)" |
