Thanks everyone, we are just over the moon. And I wouldn't say this to anyone but the jpouch community, but after Mark's surgery and getting his health back we have just started to feel "normal" again. And this baby is like the final okay that we are a healthy couple that is "normal". I know we hate the term normal but UC made our family not seem or feel normal most of the time!
OLIVE OIL - I didn't know about your pregnacy HUGE HUGE congrats you must be so thrilled. Now, is this your 2nd b/c I recall you added your first child last yearish? And Dave, yes, this is our first! Megan |

Megan,
We were in the process of adopting two babies from Ethiopia when we found out we were pregnant. For my health and my sanity we decided to only adopt one at this time and to delay getting him home till after this baby is born. So hopefully our little girl will be here end of March/first of April and our little boy will be home from Ethiopia a few months later Any names for your little girl yet? Congratulations! I'm sitting here with my miracle-girl, two months old yesterday, spit-up all over me.
Since having my pouch done, there's not a single thing I haven't done that I've wanted to. I've gone on to be a ballet dancer, have done taekwondo and shotokan, etc.. I firmly believe a j-pouch is only as limiting as the owner will let it be. Take the time, and your body can adjust to whatever you want to do. Any names in mind? Diagnosed with UC at age 12, 1993 Complete collectomy in 1995 at age 14, four-step process due to complications. Hit by car at 19 (2000), resulting in ruptured pouch. Pouch repaired at 23 (2004). Diagnosed infertile, bi-lateral blockage at 24 (2003). IVF in 2008 and 2009 Had our miracle-daughter December 3, 2009, in a home-birth, and I'd do it again!! Don't give up!! |

Tale the doors off the closet in the nursery and hang a second rod because you won't believe the amount of clothing little girls accumulate! Congrats!

Olive Oil,
That would be a lot of babies in the house at once! How exciting for your family though to have so many babies coming We have been doing the baby name dance for a while but the top runner with no close 2nd is Marney Lee Hilton. We are calling her Marney to seriously test drive the name prior to her arrival, just to be 100% sure. Megan |
