I went to a Cubs game the weekend, and it was great! This was my first major event post-takedown, and I have to say I had a great time, and only had to visit the bathroom once. I was very concerned before surgery because my UC was under control; I had to have surgery due to dysplasia. I thought my condition would be a lot worse than it was before. I've been encouraged thus far to find that it's working pretty well, and my 4+ hours out at the Cubs game really proved it! Here's hoping it just keeps getting better!

I did a Mariner's game shortly after my colectomy . . . I think it was the weekend after my first follow-up to surgery. I tried to give the tickets to my surgeon, thinking the game would be too much too soon, and he handed them back and said "Go!" Besides, he said he already had tickets. We celebrated a good follow-up visit by stopping at our favorite Mexican restaurant on the way home from the doctor's office!

We went to the game and I had a blast! Pizza and a frosty malt . . . yum! I hadn't eaten anything solid and good for so long. . . .

I took my dad to the local minor league team (Dodgers single A) for his birthday 6 months after my one step.
