To everyone that started this site, maintains it, and all of the users. I was diagnosed with Severe UC at 6, have had the J-Pouch since I was 13 due to a colonoscopy showing signs of being precancerous, and I'm now 26. I live in a small town in Georgia, where no one understands the condition or the surgery. It's amazing for me to finally find a place full of people that understand. I feel like I can finally be me somewhere, without judgement or weird looks after I explain to someone 5 times in simple terms what the surgery is. Again, thank you. - Kevin from Georgia Diagnosed with Severe UC @ 6yrs old J-Pouch 3-Step Surgeries 1/2/3 late 96-early 97 (12-13yrs old) "Prednisone can go jump off a cliff." - Me

Welcome Kevin! Bill Johnson is the one who started this website, we call him Big Daddy. He probably has no idea how many thousands of people he has helped since the inception. We are unique and often outsiders aren't really interested in hearing our stories. It's nice to have a place to come to where people understand you. Sue

And Big Daddy Bill isn't even a j-poucher. He has a Kock pouch. He did try a j-pouch but it didn't work for him and he had it converted to a k-pouch. And then he started this site. He's one amazing Big Daddy. This is one of the very best support sites anywhere. The people are wonderful and helpful and kind and caring. You've come to the right place. kathy *********************************************************** Lately it occurs to me, what a long strange trip it's been..... Grateful Dead

No doubt, this site has been the most helpful I have come across. I only wish I had known about it before. I have lived in CT,MI,CA,and NC. All doctors I have come across are also clueless. Stay positive.

Originally a Londoner, been in Oz 20 years, and I thought only Australia were clueless, its funny to see a doc and tell him why i need certain scripts, its sooooo obvious he's clueless and won't admit it, its hard not to laugh!!
