As a proud mom, I just wanted to announce, well actually SCREAM, that my daughter received an acceptance letter from her university of choice, along with a very generous dean's merit scholarship.

I am so proud of her-----20 something surgeries later-------------a very successful jpouch included------I sometimes wondered if we would ever see this day.

Now I have to wonder if I can actually deal with her being clear across the country in less than one year----oh is there no peace for a mother??? LOL

Nope - 'they' don't tell you before you have babies that the worry never, ever goes away. Or if 'they' do, we don't listen. If we did, the human race would come to a screeching halt in the blink of an eye.

She's right on track, isn't she? I mean, with all those surgeries one would think she'd be behind (well, that's not a very good choice of words, is it?). The fact that she's going clear across the country just points out what a great parent you are. She's ready to spread her wings and she's not afraid to. Good job - all of you!!!

And if you get too overwhelmed by her distance, PM stell. She went through the same and even a bit more.

My daughter does not have to deal with health issues (thank goodness)

But she is in the process of applying to colleges for the fall and I understand and feel your "pain"
She's our baby and I will be a basket case.Maybe we should start a support group just
for this Wink

But isn't it wonderful your daughter got to this point and was accepted by her first choice.

Congratulations!

That is absolutely amazing.

Congratulations. Your daughter can obviously handle anything, so there's no doubt she'll take college by storm.
