I first discovered this site over 3 years ago(my postname was TexasGirl) and it was a Godsend to me. Anyway--I managed to lose my j-pouch log-in/password and my computer had difficulty retrieving my "cookies" (whatever that means) so I just checked in now and then as a guest. Just got a new computer for Christmas and wanted to re-connect with other pouchers so I finally set up a new account. My family and friends are a wonderful support system but nothing can substitute for other people who can truly understand the issues we have to deal with. I have managed to avoid any hospitalizations or surgeries for the past 4 years which I am thankful for. I have always struggled with chronic pouchitis and just yesterday got my first fissure ever. Now I can truly empathize with butt burn! Anyway--it is good to be back. For others of you who are new here--you will find it a comfort to have a place to go in the middle of the night between bathroom trips!
