St Anthony's Hospital in St Pete, FL has a continent ostomy support group every month and thought that I would post the information here.
This would be of interest to anyone with a J-Pouch, Kock Pouch or CIR but all are welcome to attend. (we also have one or two folks that have a urostomy that come out as well!) This month, Peggy Brockman is scheduled to speak about "Life Changing Benefits of Customized Nutrition.--Say Goodbye to Pouchitis Forever!" Its also nice to be able to talk with others firsthand about their experiences, and do some "J-pouch networking"...lol. Sometimes patients that are actually IN the hospital for takedown/formation attend...robes, IV poles and all. When: Wednesday, January 30th from 6-7PM Where: 1200 7th Ave North, 4th floor rec room @ St. Anthony's Hospital Dr Shore, Fran, Allison, and a few of Dr Shores nurses also usually show up, so anyone nearby is encouraged to come. Hope to see ya there! Bill Ulcerative Colitis since 1979 (28 years!!) Ileo and pouch formation June 2007 Reconnect August 2007 |
