Hey there, J-Pouchers.

This site was my kept me sane in my battle -- a battle I'm just coming out of now after losing J-Pouch in 4 awful, agonizing years during which fistulas and abscesses never, ever healed.

12 hospitalizations and 6 surgeries later, I'm living my life with an ostomy and trying to get back those 4 years of my life. To help me do that, my friends and family have started a web site to send me to the World Series of Poker.

Their goal is to raise 1,000,000 pennies and give me the dream I conjured while on the sidelines of life for the past 4 years. Check out the site and the blog -- and if you're so inspired, you can donate a penny or two.

Either way, a Proud J-Poucher and Ostomate will be at the World Series of Poker. In some way, that means we're all going.
