Hi. My daughter had a lot of pain this weekend and when we called her GP (because it was Easter and her regular GI dr. was not the on- call dr. and he is an hour away)the GP said I think she has a virus! A virus! Her stomach is distended, and she can't poop! And she has a j pouch, so she usually does poop throughout the day!
Needless to say it's time to find a new General Practiioner or an Internist (her GP said a really off the wall "diagnosis" once before)and she's old enough to give up the Pediatrician. Does anyone have an idea for a good, caring, & knowledgable General Practioner or Internist in the Union County, NJ area? Also if you could give some good GI drs. too it would really help. She has been seeing this really great GI dr. for just over 2 years , but this past weekend when she had to go to the emergency room we thought it would have been nice to have her GI on staff at that hospital and not an hour away.
