I had my first surgery in May 03 and feel like you say you do. I think it's very hard to get over, but you have also had other complications I have not had. What do you eat? I cannot hardly eat anything without being sick. Disability is slippery, let me know if you get it. Do you have Chrons or UC only?

I am originally from NYC but am spending a couple of years up here for graduate school. I cannot fully relate to you, as I am not a father and only had a Jpouch for 4 months. But, I do want to let you know that there are other Jpoucher's close by and that I know it is not easy!

Sorry to hear how things have gone for you! I'm from about an 1 1/2hr north of NYC, so not quite central NY. Like Keith said though, just letting you know there are others close by who know (at least to a degree) how bad things can feel. That's part of the beauty of this site, you can complain and vent and you're always bound to find a few people who are dealing with nearly identical problems. Good luck with getting disability!
