Dr. Sack is amazing. I had my surgery in November 2005. I spent 2 months in the hospital with complications and Dr. Sack was there every step of the way.

Although I had my surgery at Cedars with Dr. Fleshner, Dr. Sack was among those on the short list of excellent doctors in Los Angeles (and from what I heard the best at UCLA).

I know it's been a while since this was posted but I hope I'm not too late. I live in Long Beach and have been looking for an in person J-pouch support group in the area. Is anyone interested? I'm having step 2 this coming Tuesday, but desperately want people who "really" understand to talk to. I'd be happy to coordinate something once I'm well enough. Anyone interested can email me at allisonmiller118@hotmail.com Or if anyone can send me the info for the support group at Hoag in Newport that would be great too. Thank You!

I would love to start a once a month group Here in the LA/OC area. The only formal group I know of is at St. Josephs Hospial in Orange County. Their next meeting is April 19 and Im plannin on going to that. But I want to be able to talk to people more regularly. I just got home from the hospital after my take down last Tuesday. Please contact me if you all would like to do a group. My husband and I would be happy to host it,
