Hi there everybody, I would just like to introduce myself, I work here in the UK for a company called Coloplast, I've been with the company now for 6 years and until I joined the company I had no idea that our items even existed. Over the years I have become more and more experienced with our products and have heard lots of customers stories and how there conditions can affect there life’s, everything that I take for granted. In February of this year we had a group of our customers come to our company’s Head Office and they talked about there life story’s. It was very moving to here all of there stories and how things had affected there life's, but also had inspired there life’s too! they all opened both my eyes and a lot of my colleagues. I was inspired too by these fantastic people, so much so that I wanted to try to give something in any way or form. At the meeting it’s self a few people mentioned dating problems, something which like I say I take for granted, so I thought that’s what I could help with, I will create a dating website and hopefully bring some romance/friendship into people’s life’s.

That's a really great thing to do, especially when you're not even an ostomate yourself. I used Coloplast products when I had my temp ileo. Having an ileostomy would have made it very hard for me to get up the nerve to date. I was miserable. I was also blessed with the best husband in the world, so I didn't have to face dating with a wrecked body image. Had I been sinlge, I'd have been very grateful for a dating site like the one you've started.
