since my sis , (had j pouch, getting surgery AGAIN in september) introduced me to this site I can understand her so much better now, without having to ask her questions all the time. I love her so much and want to be there for her any way I can. Just by reading about what others have been, and are going thru it helps me be even more sensitive and aware of her individual situation and disease without always having to discuss it. She doesn't want it to be the only thing that defines who she is. And neither do I. Annie is beautiful, intelligent, sweet, loving, funny, generous and a great care-taker. I wish everyone could know her

I second Rudolph's reply...compassion and emphathy is needed when our family members or friends go through challenging times, and by involving yourself in her struggle by trying to understand what her struggles truly involve makes you one very important person in her recovery! I bow in your direction
