Hello Everyone,
Annie is out of surgery and her doctor said she did good and they didn't encounter any problems. They removed all the bad stuff and gave her a new pouch. Mike saw her for about 15 minutes then they were taking her out to finish cleaning her up and getting her comfortable, then Mike can visit her.(If you know Annie, she's coming off the anesthesia and probably being all goofy making Mike laugh). Keep them in your thoughts and prayers and thanks for sending all the "GOOD VIBES" in her & Mike's direction. Love, Keri |

Yay, it is so hard waiting (I guess, I'm usually the one sleeping through it). Now comes the hard part for her, deep breathing and coughing, walking, turning...
Thanks for the update. Jan Take a deep breath and relax; this too will pass. |

Dear Keri,
SO glad to hear the good news. You KNOW that may prayers have been said and many good wishes have been sent your way, and we'll continue to do both. Yay, Annie! Diagnosed with Chronic Ulcerative Colitis in 1986. First-step of 2-step j-pouch surgery January 9, 2006. Takedown June 16, 2008. |

And you might want to post this in general discussion, too!

Actually, we are not supposed to post a topic in more than one forum- eats up too much storage unnecessarily.

thanks, she was up and walking a little last night. I'm so proud of her. Cleaveland is the place to be. They are treating her right and giving her the positve encouragement she needs without forcing her. I can't wait to see her!

Sounds like she is right on schedule with the post op program. Believe me, having the right post op progression program with nurses that are insistant without being rough is a most important thing....second only to pain control.

I'm so glad to read that your sister is doing well after her surgery.
Now remember to breath over the next few days. Take care. One glass of red wine per day is good for the heart..... it's just that mine's a big heart so I need a very big glass!!!! D-| Cheers! |
