Just wanted to thank everyone for their emails and advise. I decided that the best road for me if I need the KPouch will be CC. My Dr has sent everything there and I have an appoitment here March 21 and then April 17 for some issues. Based on those results I will decide (with everyone else) my next step. The main issue is my cuff with now Med level dysplasia and whenever I get off the meds for a couple days, bleeding and inflam. comes back so we will see.
Holly and Bill, I will prob. be taking you up on that phone call.
Thanks again everyone. Smiler

I have had a Kock pouch for 30 years. I had mine done at Mt. Sinai in NYC by Joel J. Bauer, but Dr. Victor Fazio and his team at the Cleveland Clinic have some of the best results around for the K-pouch. Dr. Dana Launer in San Diego is also one of the best. He actually studied with the late Dr. Kock in Sweden. Good luck!

Good Luck Jason, and I really hope and pray that your j-pouch settles down and all this isn't necessary, but it's always good to know your options.

I just had an appointment with Dr. Milsom at New York Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan. He also does k-pouches and has worked with Dr. Fazio before coming to NYC. He will also see patients with problems after they have the k-pouch which may be helpful to some people in the New York area.

I converted to a BCIR from a 2 step j-pouch. Please let me know if I can answer any questions. A BCIR and K-pouch function the same way.
