After reading an entery in the General Discussion area about j pouch and popcorn, it prompted me to wonder about the K pouch and popcorn.... Do you avoid it or enjoy it? Does it get stuck in the catheter?

I don't eat popcorn-but a friend of mine has a K-pouch and he eats popcorn all the time. He says he has no problems.

At the movies I'll eat a handful or two of my husband's popcorn but I'd never order or consume a big tub. Everything in moderation! And, of course, chew, chew, chew.

I ate (eat) tons of popcorn when I can get it here (no, they do not usually eat popcorn in the movies in this country and when they do it is sweet and prepackaged...not a good mix for a k pouch)...I need freshly popped popcorn, if not the fiber gets tough and I have problems later...but freshly popped or micro pop goes over very well and long as I only eat the fluffy ones and don't knibble on the hard 1/2 popped kernels (they do get stuck)...
If I make popcorn the meal then I am fine but if I mix it with other foods or food groups I am in trouble. It doesn't digest.
