I would be interested in chatting with anyone with a BCIR. Wondering how you do in the long term. Where you had it done, how you have your follow up care since there aren't many doctors who perform the procedure, etc.

Would especially love to meet someone in NY who has had the procedure.

had on May 2009. it appears pouchitus problems since the beginning. been on antibiotics since. Hopefully things will get better. my email is secret777@q.com if you want to chat.

Linda.in the olden days - they gave Doxycycline (Vibromycin) for pouchitis. It is weaker and takes a little longer sometimes to work but it does a great job. You may suggest trying this with your dr. 100mg 3 times a day for two weeks, then two a day for two weeks then one a day for two weeks.
