hi....... everyone has their own comfort zone as far as their bodies r concerned..i secret mucous...but it just doesnt bother me...other things bother me....bad people, wars, hunger, battered women, this k-pouch is just a small part of me..my friends never give it a thought...i'm so thankful to wake up every morning and be out of pain...i love the hole in my body..being comfortable in your own body is not always easy..i don't have to explain myself to others, but i dont't have to stop being who i am..i like me...it just comes down to how u personally feel and your comfort level..life is gud..p.s. spoke to my doc...he confirmed "that as long as it works for you" go ahead....

I just got home from a wonderful cruise. The highlight was two hours of snorkeling with Sting Rays at Grand Cayman I used my regular AM Patch with Skin Tac. This patch stayed on for 5 hours with0out anything getting in or out.

i didn't mean to spark the debate.
but i do like hearing everyones opinions.
i don't wear anything when i'm in the shower. but like i said...i sorta know how much my stoma drools. it'll drool some globs here and there for bout 15 min after intubating, and then it kinda stops. just a drop here and there after.

i'm planning on wearing a bikini...so i don't think i'd go commando (so to speak).

i just don't think i can bring myself to wear an ampatch for the fear of ripping up my skin. if i used the skintac stuff would it NOT tear up my skin? those things really just are rough. or rather, i just am sensitive?

i think i'm gonna have to go with the waterproof 3-M bandages and/or the tagaderm. it's clean, and neat looking, waterproof, and fairly cheap. i tried it out the other day, not bad.

and Larry...that's AWESOME! i'm plannign on doing the 'swim with dolphins' thing, and of course, snorkeling.
i also wanna do massages on the beach, ziplining in the canopies, and maybe some horseback riding. unfortunately, whale watching season ended at the end of march
