Ok, I can only post this here because only you guys can understand this.
I've had my pouch one way or another for 31yrs.
For the first 28 I could bend and stretch and sleep on either side. Since my last couple of pouch fixes and re-locating of it down low I can only sleep on my right side. I feel as if it is flopping over when I try to turn on the left. I feel 'funny' and slightly painful turning over.It is rather uncomfortable and the 1 or 2 times I did I leaked.
Dr. says that the pouch is well tacked down but it doesn't really feel that way.
Do you flop?
Sharon

It could be worse...oh, wait..it already has been! then I guess it can only get better from here....

Hi Sharon,
I've never felt that way at all. My pouch is on the right side, and I usually sleep on my right side - have pretty much all of my life. There has been the odd time that I have slept on my left side and have had no problems doing this - even when my pouch "fell off of the wall" a couple of years ago.

Hey Sharon, number one I thought all k-pouches were on the right side?? That it was made out of the ileum (small intestine). Anyway, mines on the right and I rarely ever sleep on my right side because it just doesn't feel that secure. I don't thank it's ever flopped??
I was going to ask everybody if they have problems with their tubes. I'm a newbie k-poucher (3 1/2 months) the leaking has quit but somedays I have a hard time getting the tube in. I have ordered many different ones, merlen, marlin, some off brand, and they all come in different stiffness? If they are'nt semi stiff they don't work but if they are to stiff they don't work either. I'm at the point of putting the tube in the freezer to make it stiff but I can't do that if I'm not at home?? Anybody with some ideas??

It takes trial and error and each day can be different getting the cath in. Alot of lube and you may have to turn, bend forward/back and try different positions. Sometimes sitting puts pressure on the valve and you may try standing up to insert.
