Has anyone out there had a valve slippage problem, or any other similar type problem, treated through endoscopy and if so, by whom??

I am really sorry to hear about your valve problems. You could call Dr. Fazio at the Cleveland Clinic; Dr. Joel J. Bauer in NYC at Mt. Sinai: Or, Dr. Launer in California. They could tell you if anything could be done scope-wise.

Personally, I think it would be difficult to fix a slipped valve without surgery.

But, I wish you the best!

I am not say "without surgery' but there are some abstracts regarding fixing it through an edoscopic procedure without having to open the whole abdomen...at this point I am not sure how much more that I can take

They might be able to fix the valve surgery-wise without making a huge opening in the abdomen. Again, I would call the three docs I listed above and get their opinion.

I have spoken to both doctors and they both send me back to Cohen!
They have studied and worked together on this kind of thing before.
I need someone who is experienced in endoscopy first and pouches later...a team effort!

Hi Ressurect,
Does he do valve work through endoscopy? The doctor spoke tome today and said that it could not be a prolapse so it is either a twist or a slip...I cannot go through major O.R> again...not financially nor physically..not for a while..this would be a great option if he can do it.

I don't know. I just thought he'd be someone to check studies and research of. You seem to be in a crazy unenviable position and I thought the more information you can get the better it would be.

Do you want to talk to Fran again?
Chris had the k pouch twisted and that was just repared through a small incision and sewn back in place. It wasn't planned that way but Dr Shore is damn good.
Let me know if you need her number.
Keep on hanging in there and try not to project too much until you get answers
