Colectomy.
Eventual j-pouch.
Crohn's diagnosis.
Fistula(s) and subsequent surgery for them.
Ilestomy (hopefully temporary)
K-pouch.
(Add to the mix the typical drug therapies such as Remicade.)

Thanks.

Hi Betsy,
Well I think I'm almost a perfect match....
UC 1/92
Step 1 j-pouch 3/92 (age 13)
step 2 j-pouch 6/92
crohns diagnosis with rectovaginal fistula 8/05
2/06 flap repair and loop ileo
8/06 plug repair
12/06 Remicade
5/07 j-pouch removal proctectomy and K-pouch

I'm 29, I'm almost 8 months post k-pouch now and I absolutely love it. I've never ever had such freedom from the bathroom only empty 4 times a day - amazing!
Of course there's quite a high complication rate but that was something I was willing to deal with to escape the ileostomy.
I'm hear to chat if you like!
