| Hi...during your appt...I would ask the surgeon for references of patients, possibly in your area, who you can call/meet and chat with. not sure if you used the "find" search option in this forum to see if any other members have posted info on this surgeon. Good luck...!

| You may want to post with using Dr Rolandelli's name in the subject line....to help call it out. Keep researching...and it's worth a consult with him... It's nervewracking...but looking at all options are important if you don't want to convert to the end ileo at this juncture.

| I saw Dr. Rolandelli and the surgery is scheduled for 6/13. He asked me if I was ever treated for pouchitis. I said no. He prescribed antibiotics. Thank you everyone for your help. I appreciate it. Have a great day. Mary |

| I've had my surgery for the k pouch and just had my six month visit with the surgeon. He was very happy with the way the stoma/nipple looked. He told me to come back in a year or not or just if I have any issues.
I am getting use to flushing it. I need more experience in a public bathroom but other than that things are looking up.
I've gained back all the weight I've lost and I have no more pain. I flush the pouch 3 to 5 times/day. Usually 4.
I even got to go to Texas for my nephew's wedding!
I hope you all have a great New Year and have the best of everything. Mary |
