I'm not much of a grape juice drinker (and definitely not prune juice!), but I'm afraid I have no other choices. It's just too much sugar for me everyday!
I know other people get away with 1 glass a day, or only water. Do I have any other options? |

I'm with you on the grape juice - too many added calories.
Lots of info in this forum if you have time for a search...type in "thickness" etc. - all good tips. Hot green tea...trying 6 smaller meals per day....rotate your diet - not too much fiber in one day...magnesium and vitc can act as a natural laxative... Also you don't need to drink prune juice - it comes as a tab...Prunelax sold as a jam and tabs. Here's the website address http://www.prunelax.com/ you can google to find stores in your area.. I like the prune tab idea! where do you get them??? Neat for those quicky trips abroad when I do not what to carry my prune juice bottle with me!
sharon PS.....you are worried about the sugar in the grape juice? You should see my diet (juice, ice cream, choclate, coffee It could be worse...oh, wait..it already has been! then I guess it can only get better from here.... |

OMG Prune juice in pill form??? I take a shot of it and chase it with V8. It's the worst parts of my day!
As for sugar...I'm trying my best to stay fit after this surgery as I cannot do my regular fitness routine. I'm scared I'll turn back to my old 'fatty' ways of eating! It's weird, but I found that since I had the surgery and couldn't eat any fast food or candy, I actually don't miss it! It's like addiction...get it out of your system and you don't crave it anymore!! I wonder how long that will last....
