hi, how often do you need to irrigate? Is it daily or only once in a while, depending on what you eat? Is it "safe" for the small intestine, long term?

I have had a K-pouch for a LONG time and I almost never irrigate. Of course, if you have very thick output and have trouble emptying the pouch, then irrigate for sure. If foods get stuck in your tube, you might irrigate also.

I am not sure what you mean by 'safe'. Safe to irrigate long-term, or safe NOT to irrigate?
