Hi Everyone
I haven't been on the site much but am glad everyone is doing well. I have been having leakage for a few months. I finally called Dr. Milsom and saw him. First he thought I had pouchitis and put me on antibiotics. It got a little better but still continued a little gas and a little stool leakage. Now they have me on metamusil and probiotics 2x a day. He also so said I have to loose 5 to 10 pds. The weight gain is making a longer tunnel, putting pressure on the valve and shifting it. The scope showed the valve is attached and fine. I can't get over what 10 pds can do. I was doing so well with this thing. Karmen |

Wow! I always suspected that weight gain had an effect on the valve and now you have confirmed it! I will go back to watching what I eat and loose a few pounds!

I kept the same weight for 15 yrs then gained 5 lbs each year to 60 over my surgery weight. I did notice a little that I would have to move a bit for a nice return. But, not until I gained the 60 did it happen. I'm down 35 lbs and no probs. hard to loose weight, always hungry!
