This month my Kock Pouch is 29 years old. Big Grin Wow!!!! Eeker Eeker Eeker Unbelievable and I've never had any further surgery to my pouch or valve...knock on wood!!!! My Kock Pouch works just as good as it did the day I got it, no leaks of gas or stool.

Over the years, I can eat more things and my adhesions loosened up on their own. I chew, chew, chew and drink, drink, drink. I have lived longer with a Kock pouch than with a colon intact. Happy Birthday Pouch!!!!! Big Grin

Always remember....After the storm there's a beautiful rainbow.

I told the truth, I stood my ground...one against an International Corporation with money and power. I am proud I tried to right a wrong (an illegal wrong) done to me with such impossible odds. I appreciate the courageous attorney who stood beside me, believed in me and saw it through to the end.

A miracle*, an angel*, my granddaughter *Jada Lynn*. You have taught me so much in so little time. A precious gift from God.

Congrats on 29 years with your pouch! I will have to brag a bit ;-), this November will be 31 years for me and my Kock pouch. Time flies when you're having fun.

Thank you Shell and Bodoni, time has gone by fast. I hope my Kock Pouch lasts my lifetime!!! I wonder how old the oldest Kock Pouch is, and how that person is doing. I bet that person is in Sweden. I would be very interested in hearing some stories from others.

Had mine for 35 years and like you no problems. Dr. Stewart King was my surgeon and had pouch surgery in Stamford, CT. I work out and stay slim. Don't know if that helps with valve or not.

I do try to maintain my weight, I do feel that it could affect the valve with weight gain in the stoma area. Anyway, my opinion and I have never heard of anything on this subject. I used to exercise.
