I take digestive enzymes every time I eat, breakfast lunch dinner and snacks, they help with digesting my meals and the ones I take also have the same ingredients that my lactose intolerant daughter has in her lactaid pills. So I have started giving the digestive enzymes to her and they seem to work great. For both of us.

Just curious which brand you are using jillyian? I am taking Digest but I still haven't tried milk in the morning. Maybe I should!
Digest also has lactase - 850 ALU. |

Getting back to the original question. It appears that when I get pouchitis, my valve gets a little swollen and I can notice some sputtering of gas. My incidence of pouchitis is rare so this gas leakage does not bother me much and this has been functioning like this for almost 20 years.

Boy did this thread get going! Cracks me up YUK YUK Oh by the way no gas should be leaking from the k pouch laying, sitting or standing, says Dr. Launer.
Since it's expensive for me to fly to San Diego I will wait to see how bad it gets. So far not a problem except for the stink which I haven't had to share with anyone yet. |
