just for you guys....me and my beach-ready stoma!
http://cancer-sucks.com/rebecca/balcony.jpg

I had a bbbbllllaaassttt! i had a one piece suit, and that bikini, and switched off each day. those nexcare things worked really well, although they did make the skin around it real red after a few days of using em. i just can't seem to get around that happening.

(and to les...trust me, the stomach is not THAT flat...it's a photographic illusion! the area around the stoma bulges out pretty obviously, if you saw me from the side. i also can't seem to get around that.)

and no, i didn't drink one ounce of water down there, but that's why getting 'all-inclusive' is a great deal... "senhor, dos agua's por favor?" was my most used line. that and, "no..no dinero" to all the damn peddlers on the beach

Congratulations! Although I'm not at all surprised you 'survived' Mexico. You survive everything you're faced with.

And you're SUCH a liar - that belly is damn flat. No pooching seen.

thanks guys. I really had a great time, and really really really needed that vacation. it did so much for me!
(been a rough past two months, even though i haven't been on the forums so much. lots of stuff goin on)

and now (drumroll please) let me introduce the hunk i'm honored to be pictured with...that dear friends is "Mr. January" in the Colondar '08
http://www.colonclub.com/2008January.html

he's my heart, and we have so much in common it's twisted (he was diagnosed at 26 in '06 at stage III, i was diagnosed at 25 in '06 at stage III. our bdays are two days apart...dangerous gemini's. we're both youngest in our families, went through much of the same treatment, etc etc.
we even have matching tattoo's now
(http://a550.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/110/l_65d...4ed770bac169515.jpg)

it's funny we've sorta become this strange embodiment of the whole "young face of colon cancer" like a bethroved prom king and queen of colonoscopy endorsement or something. heh.

man. i'm in SUCH a good mood today! aahhh...so inspired.
