Hi Dave, I've had my pouch since 2004 and haven't found it necessary to irrigate on a regular basis. For those rare times when I have irrigated, I just used regular drinking water. I try to drink lots of water & this keeps everything moving through the tube just fine. - Dixie
I'm almost the complete opposite, I irrigate all the time, almost every time I empty. Probably half the time I don't need to but its habit now and I feel it 'gets everything out'. But I do feel like I need to half the time, its really slow and sludgy or there's too much fiber from my food. I do drink a lot of water too but... everybody is different! Oh, and I just used good ole water, warm or hot if I can get it. As long as its safe to drink -- katie
I do a bit of both...if I stick to my prune juice and coffee breakfast then I manage to clear the whole pouch out really well first thing in the morning (takes about 1-1.5 hrs to transit) then my pouch is happy for the day and I don't need to irrigate often...unless of course I am doing tons of bread products (like today) or tons of fiber...when on holidays I live off of protien and very little bread or fiber so that I don't need to irrigate of prune juice if I don't have any...and yes, I just use tape water (or worse if there is really no choice )

It could be worse...oh, wait..it already has been! then I guess it can only get better from here....
