You might try www.continentostomystore.comThey have all kinds of creams and barriers... In fact, one is Bard Protective Barrier Film. You tear open the little packet and spread the wet cloth around the stoma and let it dry before covering with a clean, dry dressing of your choice.

Zinc Oxide, it comes in a tube. It is the ingredient in A & D ointment but it is much thicker and works much better. I find A & D ointment to thin and doesn't stay on, where as zinc oxide does.

I told the truth, I stood my ground...one against an International Corporation with money and power. I am proud I tried to right a wrong (an illegal wrong) done to me with such impossible odds. I appreciate the courageous attorney who stood beside me, believed in me and saw it through to the end.
A miracle*, an angel*, my granddaughter *Jada Lynn*. You have taught me so much in so little time. A precious gift from God.

I was given a powder called Nystatin Topical Powder (Nystop). I think it's some sort of anti-fungal remedy and I guess the redness I develop now and then is caused by dampness, so it works well for me.

I have used an anti fungal powder for irritation around the anus from my j pouch for years, it clears that up overnight.

Thanks for your suggestions! Starting with the least expensive approach, I tried some Desitin-"Original" that contains zinc oxide ($2 at the local CVS) and it cleared up in two days.
Thanks, Peter
