I know there seems to be less traffic here than on the GD section but here is my NEW issue or shall I say here is more fear thrown in my face.

I first was told I would be getting a jpouch, then my new surgeon said no since the polyps is too low and was cancerous in my rectum. Fast forward to my meeting at MD Anderson, which was a WASTE of time and totally regret spending the little money I have left from not working, driving up there. And spent 28 dollars on parking. Who charges that much? Especially to cancer patients. That is ridiculous. And I thought Medical City in Dallas was a lot, no where near. But that is another story...

So at MDA they were saying I shouldn't even consider the BCIR that I might just be filled with desmoid tumors and a life on chemo is not a life and will be shortened greatly.

Yes, I have had one desmoid tumor form after I had a tummy tuck, but I have had over 10 surgeries, one was to remove about most of my stomach. Never formed desmoids internally just in the incision from a cosmetic surgery. So how can anyone already predict that I would have these cobwebs of them. I might not. In the end it is my decision and I can't personally and mentally live with a permanent bag. Even the BCIR I am having a hard time excepting and I thought about not having any surgery at all and living a few good years in Australia with my husband. Just really really over all of this crap and so tired of people telling me different things here and there. Can't people all just get one thing right?

So I have spoke to some people who have FAP and did the BCIR with no issues. Any on here?
