I've mention this before..
so, this week at different times, my husband and daughter have turned to me and asked "mom, what was that?" and I've responded "that was me who can't fart, farting !" I just keep hoping it remains bubbly gas! Kock 1979; end ileo 2003; Kock 2006 |

ok, Stay calm....very calm....it may just be a new accessory....
Have you been eating particularly gassy foods? Something stuck in the canal like a piece of celery? or any other long fibers?????Nuts? or any type of skin like potato or apple that could be blocking it open? First test that you can do at home is to climb into a bath tube with your stoma under water and see how much air is leaking and how often...you can guage this by doing it before intubation...not after... If you are not too squimish try sticking a finger down it to see if you can feel anything stuck in there... Then if you have no positive results...talk to your stoma nurse and ask for her to see you... or talk to your doctor....but do not panic... Sharon |
