Hi Katie, Could this be pouchitis? I never had it and neither has Chris but liquid output seems to be a sign. What other symptoms do you have?Fever, temp, chills, etc?

Well I have cough, runny nose, sore throat and my husband is sick too. Pouchitis did cross my mind but I don't think it could make the above symptoms, and of course pouchitis wouldn't make my husband sick Don't know if I have a fever, don't think so but I'm on immunosupressives so.... I guess I'm just wondering if when other people with k-pouches get sick it affects their output too.

Hi Katie, I'm sorry you're not feeling well. I suspect you have a cold/upper resp. infection. If you have the flu, you would likely be very ill and in bed with a fever. I think people have commented that their pouches act up when they come down with a "cold" or other illness, so I'm sure it applies to the K. Just be mindful of getting dehydrated. Take it easy and feel better soon
