If you are in a negative protein balance, healing can be slow and poor (your doc will know what I am talking about). You may want to discuss TPN if you are going to be without oral nourishment more than a couple of days. That should help get the healing on the right track. But, sadly, some people just seem to dehis. I have not had an abdominal surgery that did not dehis or at least form a seroma.

Drains can help with this complication too.

Take a deep breath and relax; this too will pass.

well he is going to be putting in a drain and consulting with a plastic surgeon for suture types and other ideas so I am optimistic. He will be changing the site as well...I am just not sure to where yet..will know more next week.
This is getting to be harder and harder and longer than expected...too long away from my family and friends and work.
I just lost my contracts with all of my clients...away too long...no work left...that is hard when you are a self pay as well.
I guess I'll say good night for now..I really need my beauty sleep Smiler
