The recommendations regarding surgery for Crohn's disease are the same for any ileal pouch, regardless of whether or not it is pelvic or for a continent ileostomy. There are surgeons out there who will do it in a very motivated person. However, I don't even know if anyone in Canada is still doing continent ileostomies.

Take a deep breath and relax; this too will pass.

Personally, I would not get a continent pouch if I had Crohn's disease. With a healthy terminal ileum, it is hard enough to get a valve to 'stay put' and not 'slip'. If you have Crohn's, your K-pouch valve is more likely to slip and leak.
