Hi Guys...well me and my paranoia have made it to 8 weeks in one piece
I am having tons of 'symptoms' that jumpstart my paranoia every day but they may just be the every day functioning of a new and different pouch.
My only real concern is the fact that I am having sever hip pain on my right side beneath the pouch...same pain that I had before the surgery....I suspect that it is the fact that the pouch has expanded and may be sititng on the hip when full ( although I have tried to relieve the pain by emptying more often but it does not always help)...I went back on codine last night for the pain and a matching pain in the mouth on the right side...the Chiro told me that the hip and the gums on the opposite side are connected so that may be it...but my hubby suspects that I am going nuts!!!
I will call the chiro anyway today and try to get an apt...maybe he can fix both...I will not exclude a good old fashion trip to the dentist!
An other anomalie is the fact that the tip of the tube is now coming out bent! Yes, just like before! so my paranoia is being over stimulated on that one too! Dr. C says that he sewed down the pouch with non desolvable sutures so it cannot be that the pouch has fallen and the valve is tacked down too!
Dear Lord, let my only complication be that I am over vigilant this time!!!!
The nurse still comes to change the dressing every morning ( hold on...she is knocking on the door now!) but it should be closed and finished by the end of the week so at least one down.
For the rest, I will wait patiently to see where it all goes and what happens in the next month...I should be pretty sure by 12 weeks if it is all over or not...lets keep our collective fingers crossed.

I am at 9 weeks and still unsure...lots of new stuff...I can only, really only intubate after I have fully emptied my bladder...no joke (hard in public, I have a shy bladder! )(that is the oly thing that is still shy on me!) the tube just does not go in and I am not really going to try to force it....also the curved tube no longer seems to work on me, pulls and forces one side of the valve, so I must use the strait..Dr.C tacked the valve down so that might be why..also there is occasional leakage (!!!) in the early part of the day after my prune juice and coffee routine when the stool is really liquidy...if I don't intubate as soon as I fill up I get 'drops' of leakage (at least it is no longer a gush! )
So yes, I am still unsure of anything and way toooo scared to cry victory yet...I am walking for an hour a day now and trying to get my energy level back up..will start doing some work again next week so that will be nice.
Also scare to try certain positions (not sex positions) like leaning over or lying on my stomach or vacuming..afraid to 'unhook' or slip or something...
For the first itme in my life I am being calm and carefull..Way to precious to hurt it...this is the last chance
