Hello to all, I am home from the H and inspite of frustrating the anesthesioligist to no end ( and 12 tries before he got a line in my neck and foot! Mad) I managed to be put out once nd for all.
Post op was fine but I was warned that this was not Dr.C's first choice of method and that he would have much preferred to go in through the abdomen and do it "right". He gave me a 50/50 chance of this mini procedure working. I insisted as usual on having it my way. Frowner
Yeah, well, next time I listen to my surgeon.
It has been 3 days and I am already starting to show symptoms of prolapse. Mad It took half an hour this morning to intubate and yes, I have a little red tounge sticking out of me now.
Dr. Cohen has been calling, worried and checking up on me. We know what my next response is going to be.
Unless a miracle appears and stops the prolapse in its tracks, I am looking at a rather swift turnaround time for the next one. I cannot even begin to express my feelings because I honestly do not believe that I have any anymore.
I have lived through this time and again and know for certainthat if I live I long life that this will not be the last time, but dear Lord, I am getting tired.
I will try to live in denial for the rest of the weekend but on Tuesday, I will have to call in and go to see Dr. C.
I know that he will be as dissapointed as I am.
So, my dearest compainions in pouch, wish me luck, or miracles or cast a good spell for i TRUELY NEED IT NOW.
Sharon

Here's wishing you first, a miracle, then luck.

Don't you just hate it when your doctor is right and you have to eat crow?? And, the worst of it is you have to undergo a second surgery that was recommended in the first place!! Too bad they didn't leave an IV line in so you don't have to go through that again...

Take a deep breath and relax; this too will pass.

I wouldn't mind eating crow if it didn't get stuck in my stoma Big Grin
I am living on pins and needles until Tuesday

Off to see the Dr. now...not sure what to wish for other than, well, nothing.
I want it over. I want to be told that it is working, a success and that I can go home to my lovely hubby and go back to work, life, grand children and monotony.
Wish me luck
Sharon
